Common questions
- Are my images uploaded?
- No. Images are decoded and re-encoded entirely on your device using the Canvas API — no image data is ever uploaded.
- Can I hit a specific target file size?
- Yes. Instead of a fixed quality you can set a target size and let it search for the best quality that fits, then compare the result with a draggable slider and real byte counts.
- Does it remove EXIF and GPS data?
- There is an explicit EXIF/GPS removal toggle. Re-encoding also lets you strip metadata, and you can convert to JPEG, WebP, PNG or AVIF and download a batch as a ZIP.
